To keep your acrylic display looking new, there are a few steps you need to take when you clean. 

What Can You Use?

It is strongly recommended that you use a microfiber cloth. This will help avoid the surface being scratched, as well as help remove bacteria and microbes on the surfaces. 

Do not ever use paper towels or other abrasive cleaning cloths. These can damage the acrylic surface. 

It is also important to remember that the use of ammonia-based cleaners – like glass cleaners – can yellow the surface of your display, and leave a film behind. Always use compatible cleaners and procedures to protect your display.

Before you begin to disinfect, take care to clean the surface using warm, soapy water to wipe off any dirt or debris. Use the microfiber cloth to gently clean the surface. 

Use a dry microfiber cloth to dry and remove any moisture from the display. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly before you use the disinfectant. 

What Can You Use to Disinfect the Display Case? 

Once you have cleaned and dried the surface of your display, you can disinfect it. Disinfectants that are safe to use include pharmacy-grade hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol, diluted household-grade bleach  (according to CDC recommendations, and other cleaners suggested by the manufacturer.
