Repair loose pages and get books back into circulation in minutes
Books that experience heavy usage often lose pages or fall into general disrepair. Traditional page reinsertion techniques can be intensive, time-consuming, and just plain messy. Cover One offers a fast, easy, and cost-effective option for repairing books rather than replacing them, at an average cost of only 25¢ per title. Simply place a damaged book into the repair slot and the machine will immediately begin a 1-minute warming cycle to loosen the existing glue. Remove the book and open it to reveal the inner spine. Cut a glue strip (sold separately) 3″ shorter than the spine and place it along the inner spine, replace loose pages, close the book, and place it back into the slot for another cycle. Once the glue is reheated, remove the book again and tap the sides to perfectly align the pages, then place the book on the included cooling stand for 10 minutes. Your restored item is now stronger than new and ready for reshelving.
No binding or weighing down books to ensure a secure hold; no waiting 24 hours for adhesives to dry. You can even use Cover One to create sturdy letter-size hardback/softback document binding for lessons and presentations. It’s an affordable, versatile, and incredibly useful tool to keep your library running at its full potential. Machine Kit comes ready to use with 50, 1-1/8″W x 11″L glue strips (additional strips sold separately); a 1-1/4″W x 100′L roll of Tyvek hinge repair tape; and a 4″W x 90′L roll of clear 2-mil polyester book repair tape. The unit operates on standard AC power.
