Friends & Neighbors: The Helping Game

Helps children recognize feelings in others — the first step to building empathy Nourish emotional intelligence with Friends & Neighbors, the matching game that develops empathy, compassion, and understanding. Each game card features six images that portray a person in a tough situation, like a girl who’s sad because she’s caught in the rain or a boy who’s afraid of the dark. The player pulls a token out of the drawstring bag; if the solution described on the token solves one of the problems on the player’s card, a match has been made! Adults can guide discussions beyond the game by taking a deeper dive into what the characters on the cards might be feeling and asking kids to come up with different ways they could help. Includes four game boards, one stop sign board, 14 tokens, one token bag, one parent guide, and a Let’s Help Our Friends and Neighbors story book. 1–4 players. Ages 3+.
